Dr Paul Vickers BSc PhD CEng MIEE ILTM

My name is Paul Vickers and I own this domain. I have a first degree in Computer Studies from the CNAA and a PhD in Computer Science with HCI from Loughborough University. I have a few professional qualifications. First, I am a corporate member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers and am registered as a Chartered Engineer in the UK. Secondly, I have full membership the Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Finally, I am a member of the Association of University Teachers, one of the two main trade unions in the UK supporting academic and academic related university staff. 

I am a Principal Lecturer, Director of Research (Computing), Deputy Directory of Research Strategy, and MRes Programme Leader in the School of Informatics at the Northumbria University in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. You can see my work-related website here.

I am married to Gina (since 1990) and we have three children, Caitlin (1993), Carys (1999), and Zachary (2004). We used to worship at Christ Church, Aughton where I headed-up the worship team, but since moving to Northumberland in October 2001, we have been attending cell church.

As well as running this site, I am webmaster for the Northumbrian Centre of Prayer for Christian Healing.
